Developments in Neural Probe Technologies and Applications
A Satellite Symposium to the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting
Friday, November 2, 2007 – San Diego Convention Center, Rm 22
Organizers: Daryl R. Kipke, Director and William Shain, Associate Director
Center for Neural Communication Technology
This satellite symposium highlights the latest scientific, translational and clinical advances in neural probe technologies and applications. It brings together neuroscientists, engineers, and clinicians to discuss progress and emerging ideas in neural systems analysis, microelectrode array technologies, neuroprosthetics, chronic neural interfaces, and leading scientific and clinical applications.
In addition to the scheduled speakers, the symposium includes 5-minute ‘Research Briefs’ that are open to any attendee. Junior investigators, post-docs, and students are specifically invited to present a research brief to showcase their work to the diverse symposium audience. Please email your request to present your work to CNCT-Briefs-Nov07@umich.edu. Send your full contact information and abstract by Oct 30, 2007.
The registration fee of $95 includes a continental breakfast and lunch. Students and post-doctoral scientists are especially encouraged to attend and can be provided a reduced registration fee ($50) upon request. Payment can be made by check to "University of Michigan." Acceptance of credit card payments will be announced shortly, and are not required at this time to complete the registration.
